Δε τα κατάφερε τελικά ο Κων/νος σήμερα με τον Rainer Schuettler.Έτσι έχασε για λίγο την πρόκριση στο κυρίως ταμπλό του Ντουμπάι.
Το πρώτο σετ κύλησε γρήγορα με τον Γερμανό να παίρνει το προβάδισμα και τελικά και το σετ με 6-2.
Στο δεύτερο όμως ο Κων/νος δε το έβαλε κάτω κάνοντας το 3-3 στα game.Στη συνέχεια έφτασε στο 5-4 και είχε την ευκαιρία για το σετ, στο σερβίς του Schuettler όμως κάτι που τελικά δεν έγινε.Το σκορ πήγε στο 5-5 και από 'κει και έπειτα με δύο game ο Γερμανός πήρε το σετ και το ματς, 7-5.
Ο αγώνας είχε διάρκεια 1 ώρα και 26 λεπτά.Ο Κων/νος έσωσε 8(!) break point στα 11, αλλά τα τρία που έκανε ο Schuettler ήταν αρκετά γι'αυτόν.Κανένα break point για τον Κώστα.Στα στατιστικά, 4 άσσοι, 3 διπλά λάθη και 61% στο πρώτο σερβίς.

Kostantinos didn't make it to the main draw today with Rainer Schuettler.
The first set was easy for the German as he took the lead early and finally won it with 6-2.
In the next one though, Kostantinos fought for it with 3-3 in games.Then he was 5-4 in the lead and with a chance for the set with Schuettler serving.Schuettler though kept it, 5-5 and with two more won it, 7-5 and the match as well.
The match lasted 1h and 26 min.Kostantinos saved 8(!) break points in 11, the German won 3 and it was enough for him.No break points for Kostas.Other statistics, 4 aces, 3 double faults and 61% in first serve.
