Απέκλεισαν το Νο8 στο ταμπλό τους Πολωνούς, Fyrstenberq/Matkowski σε λιγότερο από μια ώρα με 2-0 σετ, 6-4 6-2.Πολύ καλό σερβίς για την ομάδα, με 76% στο πρώτο και 58% στο δεύτερο με τους αντιπάλους να μένουν στο 64% και 41% αντίστοιχα.
Στο 2ο γύρο θα παίξουν με τους Jeff Coetzee(RSA)/Rogier Wassen(NED).O Νοτιοαφρικανός με τον Ολλανδό χρειάστηκαν τρία σετ, 7-5 6-7 6-2 για να νικήσουν τους Κροάτες Karlovic και Zovko.
